AI-Assisted Engineering Maturity
How good is your team at AI-assisted coding, modern engineering, and continuous improvement?
A closed-book, scenario-based assessment of how your team works day to day: AI-assisted coding, modern engineering practice (testing, CI/CD, code health), and kaizen. Most questions either have a right answer or ask you to count something real; a few ask you to rate an aspiration and report what happens, so we can see the gap between the two.
Answer from your team's recent reality, your last ~10 merged changes and last quarter, not from how you wish it worked. There are no impressive answers here, only true ones, and several items are traps where the cargo-cult answer sounds the most plausible. “We don't track this” is a fine, honest answer wherever it is true, and it is not scored against you.
Your result places you on a five-band ladder with a per-dimension profile that shows where you are strong and where to aim next. Add your organization for a shareable result and to let your team compare results later.
Before you begin
- Answer from real, recent artifacts; open your history if you need to. There are no good-looking answers, only true ones.
- Questions and options are randomised each attempt; the parts run A to E.
- “We don't track this” is honest and is not scored against you. Stuck on a part? Use “Skip to my score”.
The five bands
- B0Latent0-24Little enacted evidence; can't yet tell a real practice from its cargo-cult twin.
- B1Aware25-44Knows what good looks like; the artifacts aren't reliably there yet.
- B2Practicing45-64Enacts the core practices on recent work and passes the judgment floor.
- B3Fluent65-84Consistent across domains; spots the subtler traps; small gaps.
- B4Multiplier85-100Teaches and governs; the lowest gaps; raises the median around them.
